Sparrowhawk.Spent the afternoon out with SC. Today we visited Rusty and his mate, they performed very well being out all afternoon espesially Rusty who weve named becauce of the colour of his tail. Also had 1 Peregine, 2 Kestrels, 2 Sparrowhawks, one of which had a dangling leg ? 1 distant Raven, 12 Lapwings, a few Curlew, 1 Nuthatch and a few Coal and Long-tailed Tits. I took almost 400 pics today!
We saw the Sparrowhawk with a dangling lega few weeks ago Nick - same location so it must still be able to hunt ok

ReplyDeleteThats two birds of prey Ive seen in this general area with dangling legs, the other was a Short-eared Owl last year !
