9th Nov Little Gull at Mixenden

Recieved a text from Dave Sutclife this PM that he had just found an adult Little Gull at Mixenden Reservoir, so I got the bus up to Mount Tabor and walked the rest. Got there at 2.30PM and found the bird at the far side of the res, so walked round and took 380 pictures in freezing cold and windy conditions. These 6 shots were the best I could manage. Steve Blacksmith soon showed up and kindly gave me a lift back to Mount Tabor. Little Gulls are scarce in Halifax and probably only occur once every 4 or 5 years.
