First ever gig 1981 Brooksbank School

OH MY GOD........ didnt think Id ever see these. My brother just emailed me these photos that have appeared on face book, it shows the band Lou Druid or has other bands at the time called us Loud Ruin on stage at Brooks Bank School in I think 1981. The other shots are taken in the old practise room and with our beloved Bedford Van. I had two Rickenbacker 4001 basses in those days, Ive still got the blue one but sold the red one to fund a birding trip many years ago. Actually Ive still got all the other gear I used on stage that night.

  2. That old Bedford van brings back bad memories, they were a nightmare to work on.
How come I never saw you on Top of the Pops with Pans People?

  3. Dont know what happened to the van, I think the guitarist flogged it after we split (never got my share. We did some work in recording studios in Leeds and Wakefield and actually had a live film made but someone took it to america and never came back, so that was lost. I never made top of the pops Brian but the guitarist I was with in a previous band did and he went on to work with some of the best rock guitarists of the 80s and 90s, Joe Satriani and Steve Vai to name a few. Andy guitar wood who was the guitar player in the 81 photos went on to play with Jerry Marsden and even met Robert Plant ?
